Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Bid Writer to produce high-quality bid submissions for façade, cladding and building envelope projects across UK sites. Based in Uxbridge or Leicester, you will collaborate with Pre-Construction, Technical, Design, Commercial and Operations teams to communicate our capability and value to clients.

You will lead PQQs, SQs, RFIs and ITTs, ensuring compliance with client specifications and quality standards while developing a robust bid content library and compelling

Qualifications

• Experience as Bid Writer in construction/façade/building envelope sectors.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, remediation programmes, and recladding projects.
• Excellent written communication and document management skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear client-focused responses.
• Experience in pre-construction and tendering environments.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of PQQs, SQs, RFIs, ITTs and tender proposals for façade and remediation projects.
• Review tender documentation to identify requirements, risks, opportunities and win themes.
• Produce engaging and technically accurate written responses tailored to client requirements.
• Coordinate information from estimating, design, commercial, HSEQ, project delivery and supply chain teams.
• Develop and maintain a library of bid content, case studies, CVs, project profiles and supporting evidence.
• Ensure all submissions are compliant with client specifications, quality standards and submission requirements.
• Highlight the company's expertise in façade systems, remediation works, recladding solutions and fire safety improvements.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to articulate construction methodology, project phasing, resident liaison strategies and risk mitigation.
• Support bid strategy meetings and identify differentiators and winning messages.
• Maintain consistency in branding, presentation and quality across tender documents.
• Coordinate responses on sustainability, social value, health and safety, quality assurance and environmental management.
• Monitor bid deadlines and manage submission programmes to ensure timely deliverables.
• Produce high-scoring, client-focused tender submissions and support conversion of opportunities into projects.
• Enhance Galliford Try’s reputation as a leading façade contractor in new build, remediation and recladding works.
• Continuously improve bid content and processes to maximise win rates.

Role Overview

The Façade Bid Writer is responsible for producing high-quality, persuasive, and compliant tender submissions for façade, cladding, and building envelope projects across both new build and remediation/recladding sectors. Working closely with the Pre-Construction, Technical, Design, Commercial, and Operations teams, the role involves developing compelling bid responses that clearly communicate the company's expertise, delivery capability, quality standards, and value proposition to clients.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead the preparation and submission of PQQs, SQs, RFIs, ITTs, and tender proposals for façade and remediation projects.
• Review and analyse tender documentation to identify key requirements, risks, opportunities, and win themes.

About You:

• Previous experience as a Bid Writer within the construction, façade, cladding, or building envelope sector.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, remediation programmes, recladding projects, and fire compliance requirements.
• Excellent written communication and document management skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear and compelling client-focused responses.
• Experience working within pre-construction and tendering environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple submissions simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common bid management software.
