Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Bid Writer in Wombourne to join its established West Midlands team.

You will prepare and coordinate bid proposals, PQQs, and tender submissions for multiple sectors including rail, healthcare, offices and retail. The role requires a minimum of three years in bid writing within construction, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage deadlines from opportunity identification through to submission and feedback.

Bid Writer

Location: Wombourne

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000

Bid Writer required for our client, an established construction and building services company with 2 offices in the West Midlands. The company operate in various sectors including rail, healthcare, offices and retail spaces.

The Bid Writer will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting high-quality bid proposals, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and tender documentation. The Bid Writer will be involved in working closely with project managers and technical teams to gather information, identify suitable opportunities, manage submission deadlines, and ensure all documentation is accurate, professional, and compliant with client requirements. The successful candidate will have previous bid writing experience within the construction industry and be confident managing the tender process from initial opportunity identification through to submission and feedback.

Bid Writer Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a bid writing or tendering role within the construction or building services industry

Bid Writer Position Remuneration

• £35,000 - £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• Company pension scheme with employer contributions matched up to 5% of earnings
• Working hours 8:30am to 5:30pm - Monday to Thursday with half days on Fridays
