Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a Bid Writer to lead the bid function for a social housing contractor, responsible for tender quality proposals, pre-qualification submissions, expressions of interest and client information documents. You will work with the Estimating and Operations teams, develop a best-practice library, and help shape winning bids.

You will monitor procurement developments and maintain performance data to inform bid strategies.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in bid/writing roles, preferably in Construction/Social Housing.

Responsibilities

• Writing company submissions including tender quality proposals, pre-qualification proposals, expression of interest proposals and customer information documents
• Assisting with the bid strategy to achieve an excellent success rate for company bids by identifying winning themes
• Collaborating with other departments such as the Estimating team and Operations team as required.
• Set up/maintain best practice library of company submissions, competitor information, performance case studies, procurement/market developments/success/conversion rates
• Provide information as required to the Client's procurement knowledge centre

This is an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join a leading Social Housing Contractor who are an experiencing an exciting period of growth. The company specialise in planned refurbishment work to tenanted Social Housing properties. They work with a number of Local Authorities and Housing Associations across the North West and Yorkshire regions.

Due to growth, they are looking to appoint a Bid Writer to lead their bid function.

The position offers a lot of career development alongside the opportunity to have a real impact on the development and growth of a bid department within a rapidly expanding company.

What will you be responsible for?

• Writing company submissions including tender quality proposals, pre-qualification proposals, expression of interest proposals and customer information documents
• Assisting with the bid strategy to achieve an excellent success rate for company bids by identifying winning themes
• Collaborating with other departments such as the Estimating team and Operations team as required.
• Set up/maintain best practice library of company submissions, competitor information, performance case studies, procurement/market developments/success/conversion rates

Package on offer for the Bid Writer role:

You will be compensated with a basic salary of £45-50k + benefits. Please note this salary may be negotiable for the right candidate.

This is a hybrid role with the requirement for 2/3 days in the Oldham offices, and then home working offered on the remaining days.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role, ideally within Construction/Social Housing.
