Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join its pre-construction and bids team across the social housing refurb sector. You will convert complex technical information into clear, compelling, and commercially focused tender submissions.

You will work with senior pre-construction, commercial, estimating and operations teams to produce high-quality bids on tight deadlines, developing methodologies, case studies, CVs and executive summaries while maintaining consistency across all

Qualifications

• Bid writer with construction tender experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling content for bids, PQQs, frameworks and other opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather information and meet deadlines.
• Write, edit and coordinate high-quality tender submissions.
• Develop clear responses to quality, technical and project questions.
• Review tender documentation to identify requirements and themes.
• Coordinate with estimating, pre-construction, commercial and design teams.
• Translate construction information into engaging client-facing content.
• Create methodologies, case studies, CVs and executive summaries.
• Ensure bid responses match client and evaluation criteria.
• Maintain consistent messaging and quality across submissions.
• Support bid strategies and win themes.
• Coordinate input from partners and suppliers.

An established and growing construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to join its pre-construction and bids team across the social housing refurb sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong communicator with experience in construction tenders who enjoys turning complex technical information into clear, compelling and commercially focused submissions.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior pre-construction, commercial, estimating and operational teams to produce high-quality tenders that clearly demonstrate the company's capability, approach and added value.

Bid Writer Roles & Responsibilities

• As Bid Writer, you will take responsibility for developing compelling written content for competitive tenders, PQQs, frameworks and other business-development opportunities.
• You will be involved throughout the bid process, working with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather information, develop responses and ensure submissions are delivered to an exceptional standard and within strict deadlines.
• Writing, editing and coordinating high-quality tender submissions.
• Developing clear and persuasive responses to quality, technical and project-specific questions.
• Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key requirements, themes and opportunities.
• Working closely with estimating, pre-construction, commercial, design and delivery teams to gather relevant information.
• Translating technical and construction-related information into engaging client-facing content.
• Developing project-specific methodologies, case studies, CVs, executive summaries and supporting documentation.
• Ensuring bid responses are tailored to the client, project and evaluation criteria.
• Maintaining consistency of messaging, tone and quality across all submissions.
• Supporting the development of bid strategies and win themes.
• Coordinating input from internal teams, consultants and supply-chain partners.
• Proofreading and quality-checking submissions prior to final issue.
• Managing multiple bids simultaneously and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Maintaining and developing a library of bid content, case studies and supporting information.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the company's bid processes and standards.

Bid Writer Requirements

• Previous experience in a bid writing
• Experience within the social housing refurb sector
• Excellent written English and a strong eye for detail.
• The ability to take technical information and turn it into clear, engaging and persuasive content.
• The confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
