Job summary

Joining Careers Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a Tendering and Business Development Manager to lead the drafting, coordination and submission of tenders, framework applications and mini-tenders.

The successful candidate will translate complex specifications into clear, evidence-based content, coordinate contributions from operations, finance and quality teams, and manage timelines and procurement deadlines, with 18 hours per week and flexibility across the year.

Qualifications

• Excellent written communication to turn complex information into clear content.
• Strong tender and bid-writing knowledge with method statements.
• Ability to interpret tender specs, criteria and procurement requirements.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects, contributors and deadlines.
• Experience in social care, health, education, housing or a commissioned service.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Draft and compile tenders, framework applications and mini-tender responses.
• Translate tender specifications, evaluation criteria and submission instructions.
• Draft method statements using information from colleagues and experts.
• Coordinate contributions from operations, finance, quality and other teams.
• Develop submission plans and manage actions, reviews and deadlines.
• Monitor procurement portals and identify relevant opportunities.
• Maintain timetables, trackers and submission records.
• Build and maintain a library of approved content and evidence.
• Use feedback to improve future responses.
• Provide progress reports and identify risks and information gaps.
