Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc, Sunderland site, is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to own the end-to-end bid process for customer enquiries and proposals. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to prepare technical and commercial offers that are on time, risk assessed and competitive.

Based at the Sunderland site, you will lead pre-bid, bid approvals and post-bid activities, while developing cost estimates, schedules and documentation.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience or relevant engineering qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own the bid process for specific proposals and manage the full bid lifecycle.
• Analyse customer enquiries and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate pre-bid activities and assign internal project ownership.
• Prepare cost and pricing using templates and complete risk assessments.
• Gain commercial approvals and finalise bid submissions.
• Support post-bid Q&A and contract hand-over activities.
• Train and guide other Application Engineers and deputise for the Technical Sales Lead.
