Job summary

Trinity Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Bid Writer to join our Abingdon team, reporting to the Bid Manager in a fast paced environment. The role focuses on writing high quality bid responses for new tenders and coordinating the bid process.

Excellent written English, strong communication skills, and the ability to liaise with technical and commercial teams are essential. Prior bid writing experience is preferred, with a background in tender submissions also considered.

Qualifications

• Writing experience in a similar field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work to tight timescales.
• Substantial experience using MS Office including Word and PowerPoint.
• Team and action oriented; proactive in prioritising own workload.
• Able to influence assertively to get results.

Responsibilities

• Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals with technical content.
• Review and revise documents and coordinate bid materials.
• Determine bid scope and timelines.
• Lead bid preparation ensuring timely, high-standard inputs.
• Build knowledge of services by reviewing past bids and liaising with technical/commercial teams.
• Develop a library of templates and reference docs.
• Standardize customer materials and improve consistency across functions.
• Create standard templates for simple bids.
