Job summary

Fawkes and Reece in Birmingham is seeking an experienced construction bid and project coordination professional to oversee the early contractor involvement, buildability feedback, and value engineering workshops with the client.

You will manage open-book pricing, subcontractor package procurement, and final contract sum negotiations to convert PCSA into a main works contract, while coordinating bid calendars and liaising with estimators, planners, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate initial quality submissions, outline methodologies, preliminary pricing, and team capability profiles to secure contractor shortlisting.
• Manage the transition phase, coordinating early contractor involvement (ECI), buildability feedback, and value engineering workshops with the client.
• Oversee open-book build-ups, subcontractor package procurement, and final contract sum negotiations to convert the PCSA into a main works contract.
• Run end-to-end bid calendars, lead kick-off meetings, assign deliverables, and ensure compliance with client briefs.
• Interface regularly with estimators, planners, commercial leads, and external supply chains.
