Job summary

Marches Biogas, based in Ludlow, is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to lead prequalification through to contract award for major construction bids in the Industrial sector, including UK water sector opportunities.

The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and proven bid management capability, with an engineering or QS degree. You will coordinate designs, pricing, and supplier inputs while driving win themes and value propositions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years proven capability delivering successful bids for major construction projects.
• ideally UK water sector experience with bid management from opportunity identification to submission.
• Demonstrable track record providing leadership on win strategies, commercial strategies, and solution design.
• Fully conversant with competitive marketplace and able to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities.
• Excellent presentation and customer-facing ability; strong commercial intuition and risk management.
• Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

Responsibilities

• Lead opportunities from prequalification through to contract award, identifying value propositions and win themes.
• Develop winning commercial strategies and manage bid quality, technical and price submissions.
• Coordinate inputs from design, estimating, and project delivery teams; manage bid governance.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids and monitor post-bid reviews.
• Manage department budget and provide input into business strategy.
