Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Bid Manager to lead tender submissions for housing and property services on a permanent basis. The role focuses on end-to-end bid management, collaboration with multiple teams and delivering compliant, compelling proposals.

The ideal candidate will have housing/construction bid experience, exceptional writing skills and the ability to drive bid strategies to win contracts. This is a permanent, full-time position based in the UK.

Bid Manager – Housing

I’m currently working with a leading organisation within the housing and property services sector who are looking to appoint a Bid Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager, or a strong Senior Bid Writer looking to take the next step, to join an established team and play a key role in securing new contracts across the housing sector.

The Role

As Bid Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing tender submissions from start to finish, working closely with internal teams to pull together strong, commercially focused and well-written bids.

The role will involve:

• Managing the bid process from initial tender through to submission
• Developing and writing high-quality tender and proposal content
• Coordinating input from operational, commercial and technical teams
• Reviewing tender requirements and ensuring submissions fully address the client’s requirements
• Managing bid programmes, deadlines and internal reviews
• Working with stakeholders at all levels to gather the right information and challenge where needed
• Making sure submissions are clear, accurate, compliant and competitive
• Supporting the wider team with bid strategy and developing strong responses that give the business the best chance of winning

About You

I’m looking for someone with previous bid experience within the housing, construction or property services sector.

You’ll ideally have experience of bidding for contracts around areas such as:

• Responsive repairs and maintenance
• Planned maintenance
• Refurbishment
• Retrofit
• Decarbonisation / sustainability
• Social housing or local authority contracts

Strong communication and relationship-building skills are important, as you’ll be working with a wide range of stakeholders across the business and will need to get the best information from busy operational and technical teams.
