Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Bid Manager for the social housing sector. You will own the bid process end-to-end, coordinating cross-functional teams to craft compelling, compliant submissions that give the business the best chance of winning.

You should bring a strong background in social housing or public sector tenders, with experience on large, complex bids, frameworks or retrofit programmes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage the full bid process from tender release through to submission
• Develop the overall bid strategy and win themes
• Lead bid kick-off meetings and coordinate the wider bid team
• Work closely with operational, commercial and technical teams to develop solutions
• Write and review key sections of tender submissions
• Manage SQ/PQQ and framework submissions
• Work on complex public sector procurement exercises and competitive dialogue
• Challenge and improve responses to be commercially focused and meet client requirements
• Manage deadlines, reviews and governance throughout the bid
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business
• Support wider strategic work-winning activity

Senior Bid Manager – Social Housing

Up to £75,000 Company Car or £5,200 Car Allowance Benefits

We currently have an exceptionalopportunity for someone who has a strong background in Bid Management and wants to take ownership of major tenders across the social housing sector.

What will you be doing?

You’ll take ownership of the bid process, working with teams across the business to develop strong, well thought-out submissions that give the business the best possible chance of winning.

You'll be involved from the early stages of an opportunity through to final submission, including:

• Managing the full bid process from tender release through to submission
• Developing the overall bid strategy and win themes
• Leading bid kick-off meetings and coordinating the wider bid team
• Working closely with operational, commercial and technical teams to develop solutions
• Writing and reviewing key sections of tender submissions
• Managing SQ/PQQ and framework submissions
• Working on complex public sector procurement exercises and competitive dialogue
• Challenging and improving responses to make sure they are commercially focused and genuinely answer the client's requirements
• Managing deadlines, reviews and governance throughout the bid
• Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
• Supporting wider strategic work-winning activity

What are we looking for?

You'll ideally have a strong background in social housing or public sector, with proven experience of managing complex tenders.

I'm particularly interested in people who have worked on one or more of the following:

• Social housing contracts
• Local authority or housing association frameworks
• Responsive or planned maintenance
• Refurbishment programmes
• Retrofit / decarbonisation
• Public sector procurement
• Large and complex tenders

You should be comfortable working on larger-value opportunities and dealing with senior stakeholders across operations, commercial and technical functions.
