Job summary

Standard Life plc seeks a bid and proposals professional to deliver high-quality responses for RFPs and questionnaires. The role supports a busy Workplace market bid process across Edinburgh, London, or Bristol offices with hybrid working options.

You will coordinate tender activities, manage deadlines, and partner with EBCs and CAs to craft compelling submissions. A sales-driven environment and pensions interest are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering high-quality responses to RFPs and research questionnaires for Employer Benefit Consultants and Corporate Advisers.
• Coordinating and project-managing the tender process with strong controls and timely delivery through the sales cycle.
• Collaborating with a panel of EBCs and CAs, aligned via the BDD/BDM network.
• Helping the team prepare for pitches, site visits and other critical stages of the sales process.
• Ensuring every opportunity is supported by well-crafted, accurate, and compelling submissions.

Job Type: Secondment.

Location: Edinburgh, London or Bristol offices. Hybrid.

The role

Joining a high-performing team, you will work to deliver high-quality bid responses that support our continued success in the Workplace market.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing and delivering high-quality responses to RFPs and research questionnaires for our Employer Benefit Consultants (EBCs) and Corporate Advisers (CAs).
• Supporting the coordination and project management of the tender process, ensuring strong controls and timely delivery through the sales cycle.
• Working with a designated panel of EBCs and CAs, aligned via our BDD/BDM network.
• Helping the team prepare for pitches, site visits, and other critical stages of the sales process.
• You will be a key contributor in ensuring that every opportunity we pursue is supported by well-crafted, accurate and compelling submissions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging content.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working across teams and managing multiple deadlines.
• Experience coordinating projects or processes where attention to detail and time management are essential.
