3Search in Manchester is seeking a Bid Consultant to join our growing bid writing and consultancy team. You will own bid projects from opportunity through submission, crafting evidence-led responses to help clients win tenders.

Reporting to the Head of Bids, you will lead client meetings, manage stakeholders, identify risks, and mentor junior consultants while maintaining on-time delivery within budgets.

Formación

• 2+ years’ experience in bid management and bid writing, ideally within a consultancy or client-facing environment.
• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Experience leading complex bids with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management, including the ability to influence clients.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex information and turn it into clear, persuasive responses.
• Strong organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver reliably.

Responsabilidades

• Write, review and refine high-quality bid responses across multiple industries, ensuring submissions are compelling, accurate, compliant and evidence-led.
• Take ownership of client relationships, managing expectations, providing expert advice and constructively challenging where appropriate.
• Lead client meetings, kick-offs, workshops and bid reviews, communicating confidently with a range of stakeholders, including senior decision-makers.
• Identify risks, gaps and opportunities within bids and proactively recommend effective solutions.
• Conduct bid reviews, wash-ups and lessons-learned sessions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support, coach and mentor Bid Consultants and Graduate Consultants, sharing knowledge and providing constructive feedback.
• Act as a role model for bid best practice and contribute to the continued development of delivery standards and services.
• Maintain strong project management discipline, including effective workload management, utilisation and delivery within agreed budgets.
• Take ownership of challenges, make informed decisions and ensure a consistently high level of client service.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Bids, the Bid Consultant will provide expert bid management and consultancy support to clients.

You will take ownership of projects from opportunity through to submission, developing compelling, evidence-based responses that maximise the likelihood of success.

Requirements
