Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll gain experience in both Bid Coordination and Bid Design, learning how to sell Howden to our clients. You’ll develop skills such as writing persuasive content, creating high-quality, visually engaging documentation for major clients, working on pitch presentations, and liaising with departments across Howden. You’ll also complete the Certificate in Insurance (Level 3) from the Chartered Insurance Institute, providing a grounding in basic general insurance principles.

What you’ll do
  • Create project management documents needed to run the bids process
  • Attend bid kick-off meetings to understand how responses are tailored to win work
  • Work with a Bid Manager to articulate the Howden proposition to clients
  • Learn the fundamentals of design to format and design documents in Word and PowerPoint to a high standard
  • Follow brand guidelines and deliver creative, tailored solutions for each bid
  • Proofread, ensure layout quality, and maintain accuracy
  • Undertake rotations into other parts of the business
Who we’re looking for

  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a team mindset
  • Creativity and adaptability
