Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior BI Developer to lead the Performance and Business Reporting data visualisation and reporting capabilities. Hybrid role, you will gather requirements and design solutions.

You will partner across the Digital Services Directorate to drive a data-led culture, develop engaging dashboards using Power BI and DAX, and streamline ETL processes.

The role emphasizes turning data into actionable insights and training colleagues in best practices.

Qualifications

Extensive experience building solutions with Power BI and DAX.
Experience leading stakeholder engagement to shape dashboards.
Proficient in reading/writing SQL.
Understanding of data lifecycle and ETL in multi-source systems.
Knowledge of data warehousing principles.
Ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical colleagues.
Strong planning and prioritisation under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Partner with teams to understand data challenges and needs.
Influence data usage across the directorate.
Develop engaging data presentation techniques and improve reports.
Identify automation opportunities for data reporting and Visualisation.
Challenge status quo and craft creative solutions.
