Job Description - BI Data Analyst

We are easyJet, a FTSE-100 listed, £multi-billion low-cost airline that serves tens of millions of customers every single year. If you’re reading this, you have probably already been an easyJet customer, and you’ll know that there is no more iconic (or Orange!) travel brand in Europe.

We fly more than 1,207 routes, connecting 38 countries across Europe, and employ more than 18,000 colleagues. We’re on a mission to make low-cost travel easy – and whatever your role here, you’ll connect millions of people to what they love using Europe’s best airline network, great value fares, and friendly service.

Team

The Commercial BI team provides the insight and reporting that powers decision-making across easyJet’s Commercial function. This role will focus on our ancillary and in-flight retail areas including subscriptions, baggage, seats, and onboard retail products. We work closely with commercial leaders and external partners to track performance, understand customer behaviour, and identify opportunities to optimise and grow revenue.

Job Purpose

The BI Analyst will sit in the Commercial BI team supporting easyJet’s reporting for non-ticket ancillary, subscription programmes and in-flight retail. This includes services such as baggage, paid seats, bundled packages, third party services, easyJet PLUS, onboard food and drink covering areas like product profitability, stock optimisation, and customer purchasing behaviour.

Responsibilities
  • Query and analyse data using statistics & technical skill (SQL, Excel, Python preferable etc).
  • Act as a subject matter expert, supporting and fulfilling reporting needs for stakeholders.
  • Design and implement tracking mechanisms for new and existing products, capturing detailed performance metrics and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver both regular and ad hoc analysis to optimise product range, operational processes, and sales efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on end to end project-based initiatives.
  • Identify and address gaps in reporting, proactively working with data teams to improve data accessibility and self-sufficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, documentation, and integrity for traceability and auditing.
  • Work alongside customer teams to analyse behaviours around products and services.
Requirements
  • Strong academic background with a degree (1st or 2:1) featuring mathematical content and modules on statistical analysis.
  • Previous experience working as an analyst in a commercial environment.
  • Highly numerate and analytical, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, PowerBI), and preferably Python.
  • Creative and proactive problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to execution, adapting effectively to changing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of reporting methodologies, including KPI identification and testing approaches.
  • Able to communicate complex data and insights clearly to non-technical audiences, making information accessible and actionable for all stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to join easyJet as a key analytical expert, using advanced data skills to drive business decisions and optimise product performance. You’ll collaborate with a range of teams, manage impactful projects, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Get in Return
  • Competitive base salary
  • Up to 20% bonus
  • 25 days holiday
  • BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
  • 7% pension
  • Life Assurance
  • Flexible benefits package
  • Excellent staff travel benefits
  • Annual credit for discount on easyJet holidays
  • Work Away’ scheme, allowing you to work abroad for 30 days a year
  • Electric vehicle lease salary sacrifice scheme
