Job summary

The Range in Plymouth is seeking a BI Analyst to join our Head Office and help develop reports, dashboards and data-driven insights to support business decisions across the company.

You will work with Microsoft Excel and Power BI, create engaging visuals, and train users on new reports while maintaining accurate, user-friendly reporting solutions across our business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in line with business requirements and best practice.
  • Analyse existing data sets to ensure reports use appropriate data sources.
  • Create visually engaging, user-friendly reports that provide meaningful business insights.
  • Continuously review and enhance existing reports to ensure effectiveness.
  • Deliver report walkthroughs and training to users when new reports are released.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and analysis to support business priorities and decisions.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Work with colleagues to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

As a result of our continued growth and ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic BI Analyst to join our Head Office team in Plymouth.

About the Role:

We are looking for a BI Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. This role is responsible for developing reports, dashboards and data-driven insights that support decision-making across the business. Working with a variety of data sources, you will analyse information, identify trends and present findings in a clear and meaningful way to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play a key role in understanding business requirements, creating visually engaging reports and ensuring that reporting solutions remain accurate, relevant and user-friendly. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical and analytical skills while working on a wide range of projects that have a direct impact on business performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in line with business requirements and best practice.
  • Analyse existing data sets to ensure reports are built using the most appropriate and accurate data sources.
  • Create visually engaging, user-friendly reports that provide meaningful business insights.
  • Continuously review and enhance existing reports to ensure they remain effective and up to date.

  • Work closely with colleagues to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
Person Specification:
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of business principles and how data can be used to support decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills, systems and technologies.
  • Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards or business analysis.
  • Experience using Power BI.
  • Previous experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analysis or similar analytical role.
  • Experience presenting data and insights to stakeholders.
