Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment are assisting a Plymouth-based education provider to recruit a Data Analyst. This full-time role offers 37 hours per week with a salary of 36,070 plus 37 days holiday, Local Government Pension, breakfast and lunch and other benefits.

You will analyse key trends, develop interactive dashboards and reporting tools, and automate data solutions using SQL Server. You’ll work with stakeholders across the organisation to improve data transparency and support data-driven

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science or related subject.
  • Strong SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server experience.
  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualisations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Are you an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL and data visualisation skills?

Do you want to join a growing team where you can use your analytical expertise to improve business performance, develop modern reporting systems and have a real impact on how data is used across an organisation?

This forward-thinking education provider is investing heavily in its Data and MIS function, with a strong focus on improving data transparency, automation and the use of modern Business Intelligence tools. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Data Analyst to join their expanding team.

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing key trends and patterns across college data, turning complex information into clear and actionable insights. You will develop interactive dashboards, visualisations and reports, while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their reporting needs.

A key part of the role will be helping to move the organisation away from manual reporting by developing automated dashboards, SQL databases, triggers and data solutions. You will also support the continued adoption of modern BI, predictive analytics and data science tools.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related subject, although strong relevant experience will also be considered. You will need strong SQL and Microsoft SQL Server experience, alongside experience developing dashboards, analysing complex datasets and creating data visualisations.

The Person:
  • Level 3 qualification or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related subject
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Positive, self-starting attitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
