Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council invites applications for the Best Start in Life Delivery Manager role. You will spearhead the Local Plan implementation, support Family Hubs development and ensure grant funding is used effectively to improve school readiness and reduce inequalities.

You will work with partners across health, education and community sectors, lead change, and drive initiatives that empower families. Strong project management and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English.
  • Strong project management skills with track record in leading change.
  • In-depth knowledge of Best Start agenda and early childhood development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, implementation and evaluation of initiatives improving outcomes for children and families.

Best Start in Life Delivery Manager

You will spearhead the implementation of the Best Start in Life Local Plan. Your role will involve supporting the development of Best Start Family Hubs and ensuring the effective use of grant funding. Collaborating with partners across health, education, and community sectors, you will drive initiatives that enhance school readiness, reduce inequalities, and empower families to thrive. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including health and education partners, to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery.
  • Manage grant funding effectively to support the development of Family Hubs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to engage families and promote best practices in early childhood development.
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (including English) or equivalent.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading change.
  • In-depth knowledge of the national Best Start agenda and early childhood development principles.
  • Proficiency in information technology, including databases and word processing.
