Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the MCA/DoLS Team within Adults Safeguarding. This 1.0 FTE role (37 hours) runs Monday to Friday and requires registration with Social Work England plus a solid track record in MCA and safeguarding.

You will manage complex assessments, coordinate with health colleagues and partner agencies, and deliver person-centred support. You will work with a values-driven team, embrace learning opportunities, and contribute to service

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Experience with Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding adults.
• Experience in complex assessments and risk management.
• Experience across health and social care settings.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake complex assessments and care planning.
• Manage risk and make evidence-based professional judgments.
• Collaborate with individuals, families and multi-agency colleagues.
