Job summary

ersg is partnering with a leading renewable energy investor to recruit a BESS-focused Project Engineer in Greater London. You will lead technical developments in the battery sector and support stakeholders with BESS knowledge.

You will identify and select BESS, PCS and EMS providers, support project development through acquisitions and JVs, and ensure FAT/SATs and grid‑compliance are delivered. Prior BESS experience and EPC contractor management are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in managing EPCs and contractors.
• Familiarity with FAT/SAT processes and grid compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical developments in the Battery industry and support stakeholders with BESS knowledge.
• Identify and select BESS, PCS and EMS providers.
• Support acquisitions, JVs and project development from a technical perspective.
• Ensure FAT/SATs are completed.
• Ensure delivery of projects in line with grid compliance.
