Job summary

ERSG Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer to support the development, engineering and delivery of Utility-Scale Energy Storage assets in the UK. You will work with the Head of Engineering and Project Managers to ensure projects are conceptually sound and advance to operational assets.

The role requires technical and commercial knowledge in high voltage design, power system modelling and BESS technology, including understanding connection agreements.

Qualifications

• Technical and commercial knowledge in HV design, power system modelling and BESS technology.
• Experience with connection agreements and sector standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams (Head of Engineering, Project Managers) and external consultants to ensure project feasibility and design integrity.
• Manage the process through to asset operation, coordinating development, engineering and delivery.
• Support asset acquisition and progression through development milestones.

ersg is supporting a client who is leading the acquisition, delivery and management of Utility-Scale Energy Storage assets in the UK.

They are searching for a Project Engineer to work closely with internal (Head of Engineering, Project Managers) and external stakeholders (Consultants etc.) to ensure that the development and engineering of projects is conceptually sound, managing the process through to an asset becoming operational.

Experience of providing technical and commercial knowledge in the areas of high voltage design, power system modelling, BESS technology and connection agreements is key to being successful in this role.

This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in Central London), working alongside the Head of Engineering, you will be critical to the success of future projects being acquired by the client.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
