Job summary

ARM is recruiting an experienced BESS O&M Service Engineer to support operation, maintenance and performance optimisation of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems across the UK. This role combines field-based site work, troubleshooting, remote operations and home working, alongside technical documentation, maintenance planning and corrective maintenance support.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years in BESS or energy storage, an engineering degree, a UK driving licence and

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in BESS, energy storage, renewables or the power sector.
Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to UK sites.
ECS/CSCS card or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on BESS systems and associated infrastructure.
Perform remote operations, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Conduct site inspections using appropriate tools and test equipment.
Support safe operation of battery storage systems, PCS/inverters and EMS.
Review maintenance documentation, manuals and technical drawings.
