Job summary

Fichtner Consulting Engineers Limited is seeking a consulting engineer with battery storage experience to join the renewables team in Stockport. You will support developers, investors and asset owners from early development through procurement, construction and commissioning of BESS projects.

Ideal candidates will have a postgraduate engineering degree, experience in technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and design reviews, and be willing to travel within the UK and EU.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in electrical, mechanical or renewables engineering.
• Technical consultancy and project management experience across development, construction or operation of battery storage projects.
• Experience producing feasibility studies and design reviews.
• Experience with financing renewable energy projects and technical due diligence.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, models and specifications and to prepare technical reports.
• Willingness to travel UK/EU and to work in the UK without visa restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Work with developers, investors, lenders and asset owners across the project lifecycle.
• Progressively manage technical workstreams and, where appropriate, supervise construction and delivery of BESS projects.
• Evaluate and mitigate technical risks in solar and battery storage schemes.
