Job summary

Mint Selection, partnered with a leading UK infrastructure investor, is recruiting an Asset Manager to oversee the daily and long-term performance of a Battery Energy Storage System portfolio, including onboarding new assets.

The role requires experience in asset management within renewables, knowledge of BESS operations, understanding of energy markets and strong stakeholder and data analysis skills to maximise availability, efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in asset management within renewable energy or energy storage sectors.
• Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), operation and degradation.
• Understanding of energy markets, revenue streams and trading strategies for battery assets.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, OPEX and asset performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational and commercial performance of BESS assets, maximizing availability, efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor asset performance against KPIs, budgets and contractual obligations, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Manage relationships with third party operators, maintenance providers, OEMs, energy traders and other stakeholders.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring optimal system performance and minimising downtime.
• Monitor revenues, OPEX, budgets and forecasts, identifying opportunities to improve asset returns.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, grid requirements, health and safety standards and contractual agreements.
• Analyse operational data and performance reports to identify issues, manage risks and implement corrective actions.
• Support reporting to senior management, investors and other stakeholders with regular updates on performance and financial results.
