Job summary

Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft, Goodwood, invites you to a Bespoke Project Management placement year starting July 2027. You will support the Bespoke Product and Process team, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and help document progress and performance metrics.

You will gain hands-on experience at a world-class automotive manufacturer, developing skills in project planning, data analysis, and continuous improvement in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 2:2 bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with MS Office/Outlook; VBA/Power BI/SAP advantageous.
• Full driving licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team in planning, coordinating, and monitoring progress of Bespoke feature development initiatives.
• Attend project meetings, take notes, and maintain project documentation and status reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication across the development lifecycle.
• Analyse existing processes and workflows within the Bespoke Product and Process department.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise processes for efficiency.
• Support implementation of process improvements using analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Assist in developing and refining processes and documentation.
• Cleansing and deep-dive analysis of datasets; provide reports to support decision making.
• Explore data system capabilities to introduce them into the organisation.
• Coordinate and steer Target Management Process and KPIs.
• Structured problem solving, preferably with DMAIC knowledge.

The Bespoke Product and Process department is a wide-spread organisation, leading the entire Bespoke feature development process from new features conception to realisation. Relying on close working relationships with production & internal/external partners alike, the department is tasked with delivering the future of our Business through an excellent Bespoke offer focusing entirely on our customers.

What awaits you?

• Assist the project management team in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the progress of various Bespoke feature development initiatives.
• Participate in project meetings, take detailed notes, and help maintain project documentation and status reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyse existing processes and workflows within the Bespoke Product and Process department.
• Identify opportunities for streamlining and optimising these processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Support the implementation process improvements, leveraging your analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Assist in the development and documentation of new processes or the refinement of existing ones.
• Cleansing and deep-dive analysis of datasets relevant to the Bespoke organisation and provide business-supporting reports to support the identification of trends and details which aid on our decision making.
• Explore innovative capabilities of data systems with the aim to introduce them into our organisation.
• Coordination and steering of Target Management Process and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
• Structured problem solving, preferably with knowledge of the DMAIC approach.

What should you bring along?

• Studying towards a 2:2 bachelor’s degree - preferably in Project Management, Business Management, Engineering, IT, Data Science or other relevant field.
• Strong relationship building skills and ability to show good inter-personal skills, showing exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills, and ability to show high attention to detail to every task.
• Ability to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements, prioritise activities, work under pressure, multi-task and solve problems.
• An excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office and Outlook, knowledge of VBA, Power Bi and SAP is advantageous.
• Full driving licence is advantageous.
