Job summary

Streamline Search is assisting a well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer in London to recruit a Spray Shop Prepper. The role involves preparing MDF, timber and veneered panels for spray finishing and ensuring high-quality surfaces before priming and topcoat.

You will work closely with spray painters to meet daily production targets. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in joinery or furniture production, strong attention to detail, and a pride in workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Spray Shop Prepper or similar in joinery/furniture environment
• Strong sanding and surface preparation knowledge
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work to production deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare MDF, timber and veneered panels for spray finishing
• Hand and machine sanding to achieve smooth surfaces
• Fill and repair dents and imperfections
• Identify defects before spray booth and maintain quality
• Co-operate with spray painters and production team
• Maintain a clean, safe preparation area
