Job summary

CEX.IO LTD in Bermuda is seeking a skilled Risk Officer to oversee the risk operations of our Bermuda-regulated entity. This role focuses on daily management of the enterprise-wide risk framework, bridging strategic risk appetite and day-to-day execution while ensuring resilience, security, and compliance with BMA regulations and the DABA framework.

You will conduct risk assessments for digital asset custody, provide board-facing risk reporting, support BMA submissions, and coordinate business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, risk management, economics, business, or law.
• Professional risk credentials such as FRM or PRM are a strong plus.
• Experience in digital asset environments or regulated financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• ERM governance: maintain and update the enterprise risk framework and risk registers.
• Digital asset risk and custody: assess risks to custody, settlement, and crypto-specific vulnerabilities.
• Client asset safeguarding: ensure BMA segregation, pooling, and reconciliation rules are met.
• Daily monitoring: track KRIs and alert management to emerging trends.
• Board and regulatory reporting: prepare risk documentation and prudential returns for BMA and auditors.
• BMA liaison: support risk documentation and annual prudential returns submission.
• Business resilience and cybersecurity: support BCP/DR and cyber risk programs per guidance.
• Capital and liquidity oversight: monitor regulatory capital adequacy requirements.
