CEX.IO LTD in Bermuda seeks a Compliance Officer and MLRO to lead regulatory compliance and financial crime defense for our Bermuda-regulated entity. This dual, BMA-approved role acts as the guardian of operational integrity and primary contact for the BMA and FIA.

Deep expertise in Bermuda’s POCA, AML/ATF Regulations, DABA 2018, and AI-driven blockchain analytics is required. You will oversee onboarding, monitoring, and audits across global operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of regulatory compliance and financial crime experience.
• 2+ years as designated Compliance Officer or MLRO in a BMA-regulated environment.
• Deep Bermuda regulatory knowledge: POCA, AML/ATF Regulations, DABA 2018, BMA guidance.

Responsabilités

• Maintain AML/ATF Policies in line with POCA and AML/ATF Regulations.
• Receive disclosures, evaluate and file SARs with FIA when required.
• Oversee sanctions screening against UN/HM Treasury Bermuda lists; enforce Travel Rule for transfers.
• Operate and enhance transaction monitoring using blockchain analytics tools.
• Design risk-based onboarding (CDD/EDD) for PEPs and high-risk jurisdictions.
• Liaise with BMA on-site visits and regulatory filings; prepare AML/ATF returns.
• Coordinate annual AML/ATF audit and remediate gaps.
• Deliver regular AML/ATF and sanctions training for Board and staff.
