Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to cover a Berkshire portfolio of commercial sites. You will perform PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance across various equipment and systems, ensuring high service standards and strong client relationships.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a company van, fuel card, PPE and tools provided, and progression opportunities within a Berkshire-based portfolio.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Strong communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach.
• Apprentice-trained background desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Work on motors, generators (on/off load testing), shutdowns, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, sprinkler systems, pumps, belts, bearings, seals and water treatment systems.
• Operate and have an understanding of BMS systems.
• Safely isolate plant and equipment in line with site and statutory safety procedures.
• Ensure all corrective and repair works comply with current regulations and standards.
• Promote safe working practices and high-quality workmanship.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors where required.
• Complete logbooks, RAMS, reports and permits to work.
• Raise and close jobs using PDA systems.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
