Job summary

Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Bereavement Midwife to join our specialist Bereavement Team based at Birmingham Women's Hospital. The role supports women, their partners and families experiencing pregnancy and baby loss, from early pregnancy loss to stillbirth and neonatal death.

You will coordinate and deliver compassionate, family-centred bereavement care, lead education and training for staff, and manage a caseload within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with a BSc or equivalent degree.
• Counselling qualification or bereavement support study days.
• Demonstrates experience in bereavement care and supporting families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver specialist bereavement care that is compassionate, family-centred, holistic and equitable.
• Manage a caseload of bereaved families and coordinate bereavement care.
• Lead and contribute to education, training and development of staff.
