Babcock invites an experienced Benefits Lead to shape and realise value across major programmes. You’ll establish benefits realisation frameworks, measure outcomes and influence investment priorities across a leading engineering and defence organisation.

Working with senior stakeholders and programme teams, you’ll drive governance and reporting, develop plans, and ensure benefits are clearly defined and achieved while advancing your expertise in business transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing benefits realisation within complex programmes or projects.
• Strong understanding of business case development, value management and benefits frameworks.
• Experience developing and maintaining benefits management and realisation plans.
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, forecasting, modelling and performance reporting.
• APM Value and Benefits Management qualification, or equivalent; Management Successful Programmes, APM or Lean qualifications; professional development relating to benefits management, governance or portfolio management.

Job description

As Benefits Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring major programmes deliver measurable value and meaningful business outcomes. Working across complex transformation and change initiatives, you'll establish and lead the benefits realisation framework, ensuring programme benefits are clearly defined, tracked, measured and ultimately achieved. Day-to-day, you'll have an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, challenge thinking, and help shape investment priorities across a leading engineering and defence organisation. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders, programme teams and business leaders, helping drive positive change while developing your own expertise in programme delivery, value management and business transformation.

• Establishing and maintaining programme benefits management and realisation frameworks.
• Tracking, measuring and reporting programme benefits, outcomes and value delivery.
• Facilitating benefits workshops, reviews and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Supporting governance, assurance and investment decision-making processes.
• Identifying risks to benefit delivery and recommending actions to maximise programme value.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.

Essential experience of the Benefits Lead

• Experience managing benefits realisation within complex programmes or projects.
• Strong understanding of business case development, value management and benefits frameworks.
• Experience developing and maintaining benefits management and realisation plans.
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, forecasting, modelling and performance reporting.
• Proven ability to engage, influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders., APM Value and Benefits Management qualification, or equivalent
• Management Successful Programmes, APM or Lean qualifications
• Professional development relating to benefits management, governance or portfolio management.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
