Job summary

Synergy Plus Recruitment is recruiting for a skilled Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner in Leighton Buzzard to produce high-quality bespoke and batch furniture from CAD drawings. This hands-on, factory-based role involves interpreting designs, contributing to product development and ensuring excellent finish and accuracy.

You will read technical drawings, work from CAD plans, and use woodworking machinery and hand tools to produce furniture to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner or similar in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Recent practical CAD drawing experience and ability to amend CAD files.
• Knowledge of woodworking machinery and manufacturing processes.
• Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-quality bespoke and batch-produced furniture.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, including CAD-based plans.
• Work from CAD drawings and amend where required.
• Support design and production from concept through to completion.
• Cut, machine, joint, assemble and finish furniture to a high standard.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely.
• Support prototype development and new product introductions.
• Identify practical improvements to manufacturing processes.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and finish.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Synergy Plus Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing and innovative manufacturing business for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner / Furniture Maker / Production Joiner with CAD experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating high-quality bespoke furniture, working from technical drawings and being part of a business that is continuing to grow and develop.

About the Opportunity

Our client is an established British manufacturer expanding into an exciting new area of bespoke furniture production. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner who can bring both practical joinery expertise and confidence working with CAD designs.

This is a hands-on factory-based role where you will play an important part in bringing new products from concept through to finished manufacture. You will be involved in interpreting designs, producing high-quality furniture, supporting product development and helping improve manufacturing processes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manufacturing high-quality bespoke and batch-produced furniture.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, both hard copy and CAD based.
• Working from existing CAD drawings and making amendments where required.
• Supporting the design and production process from initial concept through to completion.
• Cutting, machining, jointing, assembling and finishing furniture to a high standard.
• Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Supporting prototype development and new product introductions.
• Identifying practical solutions and suggesting improvements to manufacturing processes.
• Maintaining excellent standards of quality, accuracy and finish.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Previous experience as a Cabinet Maker, Bench Joiner, Furniture Maker, Production Joiner or similar manufacturing role.
• A strong background within a factory-based manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Recent, practical experience working from CAD drawings.
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
