Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Bench Joiner for a Dudley-based role within a furniture manufacturing environment. You will produce high-quality bespoke timber products from drawings, using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing timber components, ensuring accuracy and safety, and working as part of a team to meet production deadlines. Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm with weekly pay.

Qualifications

Bench Joiner
Salary: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Location: Dudley
We are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our clients busy and growing team within the furniture manufacturing industry.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled Bench Joiner who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is confident working from drawings and specifications.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality bespoke timber products and components, working from drawings through to finished pieces.
Your duties will include:

• Manufacturing bespoke joinery and timber components
• Working from technical drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing timber products
• Using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality
• Checking dimensions and finished products for accuracy
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Working as part of a team to meet production deadlines

Suitable candidates will have:

• Previous professional experience as a Bench Joiner
• Background in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or a similar industry
• Good knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
• The ability to read and work from drawings
• Excellent attention to detail
• A good understanding of workshop health and safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
• Pride in producing quality workmanship
