Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is seeking an experienced Bench Joiner for their Dudley workshop. The role involves turning drawings into high-quality timber components and fittings, with emphasis on accuracy and finishing. You will work Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, in a supportive team.

Expected hourly rate is £13.00–£15.00 DOE, with regular weekly pay and full-time stability in a busy furniture manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bench Joiner in a furniture/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Knowledge of workshop health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture bespoke joinery and timber components from drawings.
• Measure, cut, assemble and finish timber products.
• Operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Ensure work meets high quality standards and dimensions are accurate.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop and meet production deadlines.

Bench Joiner

Salary: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Location: Dudley

We are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to joinour clients busy and growing team within the furniture manufacturing industry.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Bench Joiner who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is confident working from drawings and specifications.

Your duties will include:

• Manufacturing bespoke joinery and timber components
• Working from technical drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing timber products
• Using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality
• Checking dimensions and finished products for accuracy
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Working as part of a team to meet production deadlines

Suitable candidates will have:

• Previous professional experience as a Bench Joiner
• Background in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or a similar industry
• Good knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
• The ability to read and work from drawings
• Excellent attention to detail
• A good understanding of workshop health and safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
• Pride in producing quality workmanship
