Job summary

April Recruitment is seeking a professional Bench Joiner to join a Derbyshire-based client team. The position is permanent with an hourly rate of £16.50 to £18.00 DOE.

You will manufacture bespoke joinery items, read technical drawings, and ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining a safe, orderly workshop. Monday to Friday day shifts with overtime available. Experience with MDF, plywood, laminates and veneers is preferred to ensure top-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker experience is required.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with MDF, plywood, laminates and veneers.
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Weareworking with a reputable client based in Derbyshire who require a professional Bench Joiner to join their team.

The position is a permanent role paying £16.50 to £18.00 per hour(DOE).

Working Hours: Monday - Friday - Day Shift (overtimealso available)

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing bespoke joinery items
• Laminating & bonding unitary using contact adhesives
• Edging, veneering, and preparing surfaces for finishing
• Ensuring all work is produced to a high standard of quality and within project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

Skills & Experience

• Competent Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker
• Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience working with MDF, plywood, laminates and veneers
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in spraying & topcoats
• Experience working with Corian / Krion / HI-MACS etc..
• Heat forming solid surfaces
• Knowledgeable in upholstery
• Forklift licence
