Job summary

We are seeking a professional Bench Joiner to join a reputable Derbyshire-based client on a permanent basis. The role pays £16.50 to £18.00 per hour (DOE) with Monday to Friday day shifts and overtime available.

Key duties include manufacturing bespoke joinery, laminating and bonding, edging, veneering and surface preparation, while maintaining high quality and meeting project deadlines. A strong focus on safety and organisation is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bench joiner or cabinet maker.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with MDF, plywood, laminates and veneers.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture bespoke joinery items.
• Laminate and bond units using contact adhesives.

Weareworking with a reputable client based in Derbyshire who require a professional Bench Joiner to join their team.

The position is a permanent role paying £16.50 to £18.00 per hour(DOE).

Working Hours: Monday - Friday - Day Shift (overtimealso available)

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing bespoke joinery items
• Laminating & bonding unitary using contact adhesives
• Edging, veneering, and preparing surfaces for finishing
• Ensuring all work is produced to a high standard of quality and within project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

Skills & Experience

• Competent Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker
• Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience working with MDF, plywood, laminates and veneers
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in spraying & topcoats
• Experience working with Corian / Krion / HI-MACS etc..
• Heat forming solid surfaces
• Knowledgeable in upholstery
• Forklift licence
