Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking a Bench Hand Joiner for our Leicester site with occasional London travel for installation work. The role covers manufacturing bespoke joinery, doors, cabinetry and interior fit-out components using various timbers.

On-site Monday to Friday with predictable hours and an opportunity for overtime after 40 hours. Applicants should bring own hand and power tools, good dexterity and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Own hand tools and power tools are essential.
• Good dexterity and the ability to carry out precise, detailed work.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• CSCS Card is advantageous but not essential.
• Driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture bespoke joinery products to detailed specifications.
• Produce high-quality doors, cabinetry, and interior fit-out components.
• Work with hardwoods, softwoods, and engineered timber products.
• Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete intricate joinery work to a high standard.
• Occasionally attend sites in London for installation or related works.

Bench Hand Joiner

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday

Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00, Friday 07:00 - 13:00

Pay: £16 - £18 depending on experience

Overtime: Available after 40 hours

Location: Leicester, LE2 - onsite with occasional site work in London

Duties

• Manufacturing bespoke joinery products to detailed specifications
• Producing high-quality doors, cabinetry, and interior fit-out components
• Working with a variety of hardwoods, softwoods, and engineered timber products
• Reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Completing intricate and detailed joinery work to a high standard
• Occasionally attending sites in London for installation or related works (same-day travel required).
