Job summary

The Heathrow Shared Apprenticeship Scheme is seeking a Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) apprentice. You will learn to design, install and maintain BEMS in both residential and commercial buildings, working with mechanical, HVAC and electrical systems.

The role combines office work with site visits, with a 36-month duration and up to 3 months for EPA. Applicants should be English residents, 18+, and have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent, and be able to travel between

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Eligibility: living in England for the last 3 years and right to work.
• 18+ due to site health and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Design and create BEMS technical documentation.
• Design and write software for control systems to industry standards.
• Create client-approved user interfaces for plant and systems.
• Adhere to RAMS and health & safety documentation.
• Off-site fabrication of control panels for on-site installation.
• Install BEMS control equipment and wiring systems.
• Commission BEMS software and control equipment.
• Carry out fault finding and rectification of defective equipment or software.
• Prepare detailed site survey reports with recommendations.
• Create Operation and Maintenance documentation.
