J ob Description
Building Energy Management Systems are implemented in both residential and commercial buildings with mechanical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and electrical systems to enable energy efficient control of the internal environment. The BEMS Engineer is ultimately responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of various Energy Management systems in collaboration with the client and will have a good understanding of electrical systems and components. Duties may include:
Hybrid Role - This role involves a combination of office-based work and visits to construction sites, including walking around active sites and travelling between locations. K10 Apprenticeships will consider reasonable adjustments where possible to support individuals in carrying out the essential duties of the role.

Typical Working Week
40 hours p/w with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.
Person Specification
English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.

Key Training/College Information
K10 will enrol you to the Level 4 BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) Control Engineer course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.
The apprenticeship duration is 36 months with up to 3 months for End Point Assessment (EPA).
