Job summary

Ocho People Ltd. is creating a Belfast engineering site for a global digital security and identity technology company.

You will be the senior technical presence on the ground, shaping the team and technical direction from day one, with hands-on leadership across identity, cryptography and cloud security. You will hire, mentor and grow a high-calibre team, engaging with global leaders to align on roadmaps and architecture while building a credible Belfast centre of excellence in a hybrid work

Qualifications

10+ years engineering experience with leadership/management
Experience building or scaling an engineering site or team
Strong knowledge of cryptography, PKI, cloud security or IAM
Hands-on technical leader plus people management
Based in Belfast or willing to relocate, with hybrid work

Responsibilities

Lead the build out of a Belfast engineering site to 20+ engineers
Own hands-on delivery across identity, cryptography, cloud security and platform engineering
Partner with global architecture and product to deliver a shared technical roadmap
Hire, mentor and develop engineers, establishing Belfast as a technical hub
Champion workload identity, delegated authorization and cryptographic infrastructure
Guide agentic AI and AI-driven systems with security and governance in mind
Represent Belfast in global engineering discussions and planning
Build relationships with local talent, universities and ecosystem
Drive engineering practices and delivery rigor in a security-critical product_fn
