Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is seeking dedicated and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistants to join a newly established Alternative Provision within a secondary school in Doncaster. Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Youth Work, Psychology or a related field.
• Proven experience of supporting children or young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices.
• Two education or school-based references.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach with vulnerable learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges within the Alternative Provision setting.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students to promote engagement, attendance and learning.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and individual intervention plans in line with school policies.
• Support students both in the classroom and during intervention sessions to encourage academic and personal development.

About the role

You will play a key role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour, helping them access education in a nurturing and structured environment.
