Job description

Are you somebody who can make a real difference to people's lives?
Job Description:

If you have a passion for unlocking people’s potential, this is your chance to join a small, elite team focused on compassionate, evidence-based care. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to work with a young man in Ammanford who has learning disabilities, an acquired brain injury, and presents with severe behaviours which challenge as he begins his transitions to support living in his own home.

Your focus will be dual: delivering highly skilled therapeutic interventions while prioritising his joy, happiness, and quality of life—we want to see him smile!

What you'll be doing:
  • Implement Therapeutic Plans: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions precisely developed by a dedicated multidisciplinary team
  • Be a Joy Giver: Focus first and foremost on creating positive experiences, ensuring the young man is happy and enjoys his time with you
  • Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly as a crucial member of a small, highly trained team in the Swansea area
  • Commit to PBS: Learn and apply the most up-to-date, evidence-based, and compassionate methods for reducing behaviours that challenge
We can offer you:

We invest heavily in our staff because this role requires specialised skills and dedication:

  • Professional Development – Paid training and clear career progression
  • Specialist Qualification – Opportunities to complete Level 3 – Level 5 Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) qualification. 50% funding towards MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis course
  • Free clinical supervision for those seeking UK-BA or UK-iBA certification
  • Well-being Focused – 6 weekly individual supervisions focused on your well‑being as well as a specialist proactive wellbeing training package available
  • Health Insurance – Private medical insurance, including dental and opticians cover (post-probation)
  • Team Culture – Highly valued team player environment, including yearly team weekends away
What we ask of you:

If you are a team player with an energetic spirit and a desire to truly make a difference, we encourage you to apply!

  • Motivation – Highly motivated to see people progress and thrive
  • Teamwork – A proactive and reliable team player
  • Enthusiasm – Energetic, enthusiastic, and punctual
  • Education – Minimum of 5 GCSEs. A degree is preferred, but passion and experience outweigh qualification if you meet all other criteria. Either hold QCF Level 2 in Social Care or must be willing to work towards
  • Private medical insurance following completion of probation period
  • Life Insurance

  • Full Time, Part-Time, Permanent

From £13.45 per hour
