Full Job Description

Are you a Behaviour Support Worker who enjoys the flexibility of supply?

We are supporting several SEN and SEMH provisions in Leeds to appoint Behaviour Support Workers to support their schools and staff.

We seek individuals with previous experience working with challenging behaviour. We are also interested in those with a strong care and sports background looking to transition into an education setting. Graduates are encouraged to apply, as supply work is a great way to gain experience.

The role involves providing support and guidance, delivering short-term interventions to remove barriers to learning, promoting effective participation, raising self-esteem, enhancing individual learning, and increasing aspirations to help students reach their full potential.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work with individual pupils, groups, and entire classes, supporting pupils with diverse abilities alongside the Class Teacher.

Our schools offer part-time, full-time, short-term, and long-term roles.

Requirements

• Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Excellent written, listening, and oral communication skills; high-level organisational skills
• Experience working with secondary school pupils
• Two references
• A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Team Teach qualification is desirable
