About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students who need additional behavioural guidance. Your work will help students manage their emotions, develop positive behaviours, and access their education with confidence. You will work closely with teachers and staff to create an environment where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Responsibilities:
• Support students in managing their behaviour and emotional needs.
• Work closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students who need extra help.
• Encourage students to build positive behaviours and interact respectfully with others.
• Help students stay engaged and motivated during lessons and activities.
• Offer support during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Keep track of student progress and share feedback to help them succeed.
• Work with the school team to promote a safe and welcoming space for all students.
We're Looking For:
• Previous experience supporting students with behavioural needs, ideally in a school setting.
• A genuine passion for helping students grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers, students, and other staff.
• Flexibility to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of students.
• A recent CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps) and either an enhanced DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
