Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a supportive primary school in the WF3 area. You will work with pupils displaying a range of needs, including SEMH and autism, supporting learning and behaviour in a busy classroom setting.

The role is full-time and long-term, with an immediate start possible. You will collaborate with teachers and other staff to foster positive progress and attendance while building strong relationships with pupils and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviour.
• Experience with SEMH, autism, ADHD or learning disabilities is beneficial.
• Ability to form rapport with pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils.
• Engage pupils in class and minimise disruption with other staff.

Behaviour Support Worker

Engage Education are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work in one of our supportive primary schools in the WF3 area. The successful candidate will have experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviour. The school are seeking educators to work with a wide range of needs, from children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs to more Sensory Behavioural Difficulties linked to Autism.

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we're looking for more high-quality mentors to work with these schools to positively impact the progress and attainment of their pupils.

This is a full time, long term position and the school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Your Role:

• Supporting on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
• Providing feedback to teachers and parents
• You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities

• Outgoing and mentoring manner
• Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
• You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School, so being prepared is vital.
• Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
