The Harewood Centre in Basingstoke are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational Behaviour Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Primary Behaviour Service, providing support and challenge to mainstream primary schools in the Basingstoke, Deane and North Test Valley area. The service works in partnership with schools and families with an emphasis on early intervention during the primary phase.
You will have a passion for working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours and a resilient skill set that includes knowledge and understanding of de-escalation and co-regulation strategies. Alongside this the ability to share these strategies with others, including school staff and families is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your professional skills with a strong induction programme and ongoing CPD, including the opportunity to work closely with colleagues at The Hive in Aldershot. You will need recent and relevant experience of working in schools with families and young children with additional needs, where behaviour has been an issue. We are always keen to hear from candidates who have ELSA, HLTA or Nurture Group experience.
