Location: Gloucester, Tewkesbury, GL20 Start Date: September Start Hours: Full-time and Part-Time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with the view to go permeant Salary: £89 per day Are you a highly motivated graduate or support professional with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people with ADHD and challenging behaviour? If you're inspired by the idea of helping students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) thrive in their education, then we have a meaningful and rewarding opportunity for you at our college in Gloucester. Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and resilient individual who can connect with learners who face barriers to education. You may come from a background in education, youth work, psychology, or any area where you’ve supported young people. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, confident, and ready to meet challenges with creativity, care, and a student-centred approach. Key Responsibilities: • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, particularly those with ADHD, Autism, and behavioural needs. • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs. • Act as a mentor and positive role model, helping students navigate social, emotional, and learning challenges. • Help manage classroom behaviour in collaboration with teachers and other support staff. • Encourage engagement, participation, and self-confidence in students across the curriculum. • Support personalised learning plans and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. What You Will Bring: • Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural challenges. • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour support. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. • Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive attitude. • A genuine desire to help students succeed—both in their learning and personal development.
