Salary: Dependent on experience (Support Staff Pay Scale)
Are you passionate about supporting children to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically? We are looking for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a vibrant primary school in Kilburn, starting July 2025.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is calm, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine desire to make a difference in children's lives. You will work closely with teaching staff, the SENCo, and pastoral leads to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural or emotional needs
Help create a positive and safe learning environment
Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans
Build trusting relationships with pupils to help them manage challenges
Support classroom routines and transitions to improve engagement and learning
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
Remains patient, positive, and consistent under pressure
Works effectively as part of a team and takes initiative
Is committed to the well-being and progress of every child
Understands the importance of boundaries, structure, and empathy in behaviour support
