Job summary

Alton Park Junior School, part of The Sigma Trust, is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to reinforce safe, respectful conduct and support pupils with behavioural needs.

You will implement whole-school policies, deliver targeted interventions, liaise with staff and parents, and promote restorative approaches to conflict resolution, while keeping accurate records. Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to implement a range of behaviour strategies and support inclusion of pupils with emotional, behavioural or SEMH needs.
• Excellent communication to build relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding and inclusion policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement whole-school behaviour policies and provide direct support with managing challenging behaviour.
• Provide targeted interventions for pupils with behavioural difficulties, in one-to-one and small group settings.
• Liaise with senior leaders, class teachers and parents regarding behaviour and progress.
• Promote restorative approaches to conflict resolution and support pupils' social and personal development.
• Supervise and support pupils isolated from lessons, ensuring safe completion of work.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on incidents and interventions.
